It's all about relationships

The best relationships are based on trust and integrity. When things to wrong the real divisions often turn out to be the gaps between our ideals and the way we actually live.

Whenever someone, prompted by conscience or compassion, takes honest steps to close the integrity gap, that action communicates to others.

It inspires a growth in the human spirit that sparks initiatives of change in families, communities and beyond.

In this sense, everyone can take initiatives springing from a change in attitudes or motivation. These “initiatives of change” are the meaning of our name.

As a national team, Initiatives of Change in Australia focuses on four main areas:

• Training programs to help people find a path and a purpose for living (see Courses and Global Club)
• Working for reconciliation between Aboriginal and other Australians (see Healing History)
• Building bridges of trust between Australia's diverse peoples and cultures based on respect for shared core values (see Building trust, Peace Circles, Discover the Other and Open Homes)
• Supporting regional initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region to heal conflicts, fight corruption and build sustainable communities (see Clean Election Campaigns, Peace Circles and Farmers Dialogues)
