Initiatives of Change is resourced by ordinary women and men – young and old, of differing backgrounds, but with a common experience of personal change leading to deep care and concern for the people around them and the wider community.
The people of this nationwide network put the reshaping of society ahead of personal plans and ambitions. Many give their whole time working without pay. Others make their own financial resources available to enable new ventures or participation by others without sufficient personal means.

In addition to gifts of kind and services, you may like to consider
The Dorcas Trust
Established in 1982, the Dorcas Trust helps provide a basic level of financial assistance for the personal needs of IofC’s (formerly Moral Re-Armament’s) unpaid full-time workers. The Trust welcomes gifts and particularly interest-free loans which are invested in fixed-interest securities. In making these loans and agreeing to forego interest, supporters have no tax liability on the income earned which is distributed among the voluntary full-time workers, according to need. There are virtually no management fees or overhead expenses and so the support given is maximised to the full.
Loans are available to be repaid at call. No amount is too small or period too short. The Trust currently manages $1.5 million comprising cash and property donated and loans made.
The Trustees, none of whom is a beneficiary, are:
James Beggs AM, Cynthia Lawler, Christopher Mayor and Thomas Ramsay.
While the Trust is independent of Moral Re-Armament, the Council of Management of Moral Re-Armament has the sole power of appointing and removing trustees.
